Hi Kim, Google released a new patch (v.15) for 202503 ,name "2025-03-android-bulletin-partner-preview_v1.5-patches.zip" Compared to the patch of v1.3 , the v1.5 removed the patch : "patches/android-12.0.0_r1/platform/frameworks/base/0007-RESTRICT-AUTOMERGE-PM-Fix-the-profile-issue-in-UninstallerActi.bulletin.patch" , as the Screenshot. It is recommended to first roll back the three patches from version v1.3 ("2025-03-android-bulletin-partner-preview_v1.3-patches.zip"), then apply the patch from version v1.5 ("2025-03-android-bulletin-partner-preview_v1.5-patches.zip"), and finally apply the April 2025 patch "SC-20250422T034710Z-001.zip". Hi Willin, I proceeded as follows with reference to the information you provided. 1. roll back 2025-03 v1.3 security patch as below - frameworks/base 0001-DO-NOT-MERGE-Hide-Android-data-obb-sanbox-on-shared-storage.bulletin.patch - package/apps/Bluetooth 0001-backport-opp-validate-that-content-uri-belongs-to-current-user.bulletin.patch 0002-Reset-permissions-for-not-bonded-device.bulletin.patch 2. apply 2025-03 v1.5 security patch as below - package/apps/Bluetooth 0001-Reset-permissions-for-not-bonded-device.bulletin.patch 3. apply 2025-04 security patch After apply as above, when I try build, still getting build errors. The patch you mentioned in 2025-03 v1.5 that was removed from frameworks/base and the problematic patch in 2025-04 are not the same files contents. Hi Kim， I downloaded the 202504 patch again, and found no differences from the one provided in April 22. The error message in the screenshot appears some special characters within the JAVA codes. my codebase is still downloading , cannot be built at the moment, and certain operations can be tested local : 1. roll back 2025-04 security patches first. 2. edit the patch file: "SC/platform/frameworks/base/0001-Verify-that-the-caller-has-permissions-for-the-icons-it-provided.bulletin.patch", add Java comment symbols to the following line numbers :61,62,110, then save the patch. Hi Willin, Thank you for check it. I'm applying the 2025-09 patch and have a question. In this patch, there's a patch file called 005-update-ABI.patch in the frameworks/native folder. But the contents of this patch are not in frameworks/native, so I can't apply it. After searching the source code, I found that the 005-update-ABI.patch patch can be applied to prebuilts/abi-dumps/vndk. In this case, is it possible to determine whether I should apply this patch to prebuilts/abi-dumps/vndk, or whether I should not apply the patch? Thank you. Kim |

Hi Yk, the google has no updates available. we have sent a comment to inquire with them. The file 31/64/x86/source-based/libbinder.so.lsdump is located within the prebuilt AOSP directory structure. The full path is typically: ${ANDROID_BUILD_TOP}/prebuilts/abi-dumps/vndk/31/64/x86/source-based/libbinder.so.lsdump I recommend moving this patch ("005-update-ABI.patch") to the dir ("prebuild") to allow the compilation process to proceed. Hi Kim, Sorry for reply late. We checked Google's patch distribution driver, which only updates OS 13 to 15, but no changed for OS 10 and 12. We inquired about the patch update information from Google on 11/24, but have not yet received a response. For the patch tags, the keyword “[DO NOT MERGE]” indicates that merging should not occur. Please revert any patches with these comments until Google informs us that patch is OK. The keyword “[PATCH] [RESTRICT AUTOMERGE]” indicates that a manual merge is required, and any errors must be reverted. Please use the latest CTS program daily build version for verification (android-cts_12_20251205-14537984_arm64.zip). If errors persist, roll back the patches with these tags until Google notifies us that we can proceed. We will promptly inform you of any patch updates from Google. BR. Hank |
